Jefferson County Board of Health
The Jefferson County Board of Health of Jefferson County subscribes to the concept of health by the World Health Organization as a "state of complete physical, mental, and social well being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. The enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is one of the fundamental rights of every human being without destruction of race, religion, political belief, economic or social condition."
Members of the Board of Health are appointed by the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors to three year terms.
