Construction begins on the new driveway into Maasdam Barns (Oct 7, 2010).
Parking lots are being built to the left and right.
Large vehicles can back into this area.
Cars will park to the right on a graveled area. The gravel road is a utility access to the barns.
A foundation for a new garage was built next to the Welcome Center.
The floor of the garage was poured.
Finishing work on the garage foundation.
The old farm pond is being filled in.
Defective trees are being removed.
This access driveway will be graveled.
Later in the day more concrete is poured.
Gravel is being spread on the access road. (Oct 11, 2020)
Bulldozers are carving out the parking lot for cars.
Large vehicles will park on the right, cars to the left on the gravel section. The Jefferson County Health Center in the background.
Dirt along the Welcome Center will be allowed to settle until spring, when a concrete ramp will be poured.
More work will be done on the front porch.
